Many of you may sympathize with the issue of finding a dress that can both be worn in the blazing Southern summer heat and is at least mildly appropriate to wear to a church service on Sunday morning. It has been an issue for as long as I can remember growing up in a house with two sisters and it was a weekly battle with our poor mother. As I’ve grown up I have come to the realization that yes my strapless dress was probably not ok and I have come to look forward to the one time in my week that I can get all dolled up in a fabulous sundress.
At Magnolias and Mocktails, I’m going to share a style option each week to help close the divide on this timeless battle between Mothers and Daughters. This week it the ever popular yet timeless tea length option. Celebrities like Zoe Deschanel and Taylor Swift have made this look not only acceptable to have for church, but actually trendy. I’m obsessed with this dress and could not have found a better option for my first ever #SundaysBestDress.
A handsome man in seersucker on a Sunday, doesn’t get more Southern than that.
