Hello Lovely! I feel like these days, at least among my friends and family, everyone is carrying extra precious cargo. When one of my closet friends let me know she was preggers with her third, I immediately started trying to come up with some type of celebration. The event planner in me started with the gender reveal, but somebody insisted on not finding out the gender this time around… Next I thought a shower would be lovely, but being number three I was quickly reminded there was very little needed for this little one. Finally, since every little one should be celebrated, we landed on a baby sprinkle.
Honestly the sprinkle concept was new to me so here is what I’ve grasped of the concept. A sprinkle is lighter than a shower but a party none the less! In spirit of the lighter theme we kept the guest list a little more intimate and even her registry lighter/ more creative than usual. Guests shopped for diapers, nursing gowns, nursery decor, and all around fun items that somebody who has all the necessities might want but would never buy for themselves.
As for the decor and menu for the sprinkle, it is a new baby… so I tried to go all out. Spring naturally brings a bright fun color palate and not knowing the gender I was able to mix colors/ items I normally wouldn’t (i.e. Blue table cloth, pink flowers). I went with a brunch menu for a 10am Saturday morning start time, simple and not too over done since it was a more intimate setting (Just make sure the few dishes you do serve are extra special).

Believe it or not this is the best picture captured of the big sister during the shower:
As for the “guest book” I opted for a more unique choice in setting out wooden blocks for guests to sign their name to. Since I had created an underlying decor theme with paper flowers, I was sure to use them for the guest of honor and big sister’s corsages as well. I created them based on this Pinterest tutorial and just adjusted to create different sizes/ types of flowers.
Everyone had a great time doting upon mommy and talking about the coming baby!
All my best to those expecting new little ones, the first or the fifth :)!
