Hello Lovely! I’ll make this quick so we can get back to the festivities of the day but I’ve updated my traditional cinnamon roll recipe for tomorrow’s breakfast. Yesterday, I made some for the most honest of judges (my husband’s co-workers) this version and the new icing was a huge hit! Since I rarely make these cinnamon rolls I really look forward to them this time of year and thicker icing slathered on top sounded perfect this time! So here is the icing for those of you that would like a thicker icing on top of my favorite cinnamon roll recipe!
Cinnamon Roll Icing
1 (8oz) Bar of cream cheese at room temperature
4 Cups sifted powdered sugar
1/8- 1/4 Cup strong brewed coffee
First mix the cream cheese until smooth, then add the sugar one cup at a time. Once all well blended and smooth, add coffee to thin to your preferred texture. I used 1/8 cup of coffee since I want my icing extra thick. Add when cinnamon rolls have cooled some so it melts into the rolls just slightly.
