Hello Lovely! I wanted to share with you two of my favorite things about the South, Southern Living Magazine and Fresh Peach Cobbler. Growing up my mom always had a subscription to Southern Living and even with all of the changes over the years, it was one of the first subscriptions I remember making when I moved out on my own. Mainly I’m into it for the garden tips (the weather in the South can make these things tricky) but the recipes are usually a big win in my book.
Right now peaches are in season and where I live you can buy ridiculous amounts of them for super cheap. If you have not eaten a ripe local peach from the farm stand while standing outside in the mid-summer heat, you surely have not spent a summer down South. Southern Living hit it dead on this month featuring recipes including some of my very favorite summer produce but even better were the recipes loaded with peaches. I tried the cobbler recipe which took maybe 10 minutes to mix up and very minimal ingredients…it was so good. Add a tub of Blue Bell vanilla ice cream and you’re bound to be the winner at any holiday gathering this weekend (especially if the peaches are fresh). If you interested in the recipe click here and just a heads up when it says this can feed 6 it really means 6 very disciplined people. In my house it was 4 servings… thats right a 11 by 17 pan was half eaten the first night I made it by me and my husband… Have I mentioned how hungry breast feeding makes me?!?!
Hope you all are having as lovely of a holiday weekend as we are!
