Hello Lovely! We were so excited to host the church Halloween party in our home this year! We had some wonderful people helping us and together came up with some really fun aspects for the night. Choosing a Halloween themed mystery dinner party kit for the entertainment meant the sky was the limit on the Halloween decor! First check out the cute cut out bats we stuck onto our vent hood! I find the kitchen tends to be the last to get festive and these were the perfect touch.
Next, check out our zombie buffet! For a serious Walking Dead fan like me, I was super excited when one of the other girls wanted to jump on the zombie train with me. I told her my idea and she really made it come to life. Creating a list of all the barbecued meats (the sauce added a nice touch) and asking guests to bring at least one item off the list, made for easy assembly.
I couldn’t decide on just one photo backdrop so I set one up in the dinning room coordinating the orange, black, and white colors into the table decor. How cute is the boo balloon? It’s from the dollar spot at Target! Needless to say, I’ll be looking for a few of these tomorrow once everything heads for the clearance aisle!
As for the drinks, the sweet girl dressed as Scooby above made a yummy punch we called swamp water. It was a mix of green Hawaiian punch, pineapple juice, and ginger ale. We drank a ton of this swamp water and the pop of green looked great on the bar cart!
Last but certainly not least, we created this bone floral backdrop for the breakfast room. Basically we bought a ton of cheap plastic bones and strung them together with fishing line anywhere from 6 to 12 inches apart. We then tied flowers in-between each of the bones. I used a couple vintage vases and a fun orange serving piece of my grandmothers for this table to coordinate the spooky feel of the wall.
Finally here is the very rare picture we’ve had of just the two of us post baby. I just had to have a photo made in front of this wall though, I LOVE how it came out! Special thanks to Lauri Ann Photography for the wonderful pictures!
Hope you all have a wonderful Halloween!
